Opinions and offerings of explanations of proceeding, incidents, affairs or situations overlaid with commentary, narration and descriptions, as expressions of very strong disapproval and objection, dislike, disfavor, displeasure, distaste and criticism. A thumbs down based on perceived faults or mistakes, errors, inaccuracies and omissions. A slip, a blunder, a miscalculation, a misunderstanding or oversight or misinterpretation, gaffe, faux pas, solecism, a slip of the tongue, slip-up, boo-boo, blooper, boner, goof and flub, mulled over, chewed over, reflected on, meditated on, and ruminated on in wood.
Lina Viste Grønli (b. 1976) combines semiotic sculpture and collage techniques. With a focus on the experience and transmission of language, the ambiguity of words and phrases, and the way in which context contributes to meaning. Previous exhibitions include: Sculpture Center, NYC; Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna; List Visual Arts Center, Cambridge; Wiels Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels, and Kunsthall Stavanger. 'Words’ is Viste Grønli’s third solo exhibition with Christian Andersen.
